The Kennels is Hiring a Kennel Technician Near Grass Valley, CA

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our furry guests. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who have a passion for animals and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment amd are looking to have a career in the Pet Care industry.

Duties:

- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as needed.

- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

- Monitor the behavior and well-being of animals, reporting any concerns or changes to management.

- Walk dogs and provide exercise and socialization opportunities

- Maintain accurate records of animal care, medications, and treatments

- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing

- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners, answering questions and addressing concerns

Skills:

- Previous experience in pet care or veterinary settings is preferred

- Knowledge of animal handling techniques and behavior

- Ability to safely restrain animals during procedures

- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with pet owners in a professional and compassionate manner

- Excellent attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks
